A well-established local Sports & Music Bar required a complete rebrand and redesign to reflect its new ownership and management.

LOGO RE-DESIGN
I was commissioned by a local Sports & Music Bar to refresh its brand following a change in ownership and management.
The goal was to blend modern design elements with the character of Western Canadian culture. Since the new owners are originally from Prague, they also requested that the logo incorporate a symbolic reference to the historic European heritage.


THE ORIGINAL LOGO
The original logo was entirely text-based, using a common font with no distinctive features. It lacked iconography or graphic elements, resulting in a plain and outdated appearance and little visual interest.
REDESIGNED LOGO
The new logo introduces a vibrant and modern style, featuring a smooth gradient that adds depth and visual flair. Encased within two interlocking rings, the design feels sleek and contemporary. The primary typography is a custom, handwritten style that conveys uniqueness and energy, contrasted with a clean secondary typeface for the business tagline. To further enrich the brand story, an iconic bull’s head topped with a royal crown was incorporated - symbolizing both Western cuisine and Eastern European heritage.

The redesigned menu integrates the new logo and introduces a fresh, contemporary aesthetic that aligns with the updated brand identity.
Beyond its modern look, the layout was carefully structured for clarity and ease of navigation, making dishes more visually appealing and accessible. The overall design not only elevates the restaurant’s presentation but also enhances the dining experience by creating a cohesive connection between the brand, the atmosphere, and the food.”

To present the new logo concept to the client, a mood board was designed as a visual storytelling tool along with a few mockups of real brand applications.
The moodboard showcased the overall aesthetic and brand vibe, compiling image mockups of how the logo could be applied across relevant industry touchpoints. This approach provided the client with a tangible sense of the brand’s visual direction, ensuring clarity, alignment, and a shared understanding of the intended look and feel among all stakeholders.
